We liked Toyoko Inn Nagoya Sakae. We could visit everything we needed like Hisaya Odori Park as it was within a walking distance of the hotel. Property is very close to the metro station - 20 mins walk. Naka Ward neighbourhood was definitely worth visiting...

the hotel was right by subway station. great bed and peaceful location. you can eat in restaurants and bars. reasonable base for city trip in nagoya.
